MUSIC
CHOICE

Whilst you may have those favourite tracks, it's important to remember that
a successful function/wedding reception is one where everything runs
smoothly and
everyone enjoys themselves.
There's nothing worse than going to a reception where the bride and groom
are lovers of 'heavy rock', and thus force their guest to endure four hours
of Metallica and Judas Priest.
We believe that music choice
should concentrate on finding
something for everyone
from the youngsters right through to Uncle Ralf and Great Grandma. It
has been said that it is impossible to please everyone, but it doesn't stop
us from trying.
A typical wedding music
programme would consist of some easy listening music ranging from the 60's
through to the 00's as low level background music as your guests arrive,
giving you the opportunity to talk comfortably and greet everyone. We would
normally begin to liven things up around 20 minutes before the buffet then
return to a lower level while your guest enjoy their food.
A good way to resume is for the bride and groom to
thank everyone and then perform the first dance of their choice. After
a couple of minutes, the bride and groom may be joined by the best man and
head bridesmaid for a few minutes, then it's an open floor and the party
really kicks in.
You should feel free to make a
list of your favourites songs as well as any dedications you like to make
during the evening. Make a note of any birthdays in the family and
also any interesting stories that our DJ can use to have some extra fun.
Remember that ultimately it is
your evening and we will always endeavour to meet all your requests.
